The meeting was held on September 11, 2024, at the American Legion Post 347. OBG members and guests enjoyed a lunch and program featuring Beauty of Sight. OBG donated $30,000 and Lake Sumter Lions donated $500 to Beauty Of Sight with funds dedicated to a new building. OBG additionally donated $1,000 to the Children's Cancer Backpack Program.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of Helen Keller's address to the Lions Club International, we're holding a special fundraising program to support vision-related services and programs in the local community.
Blood Glucose Screening and Diabetes Awareness Event - SUCCESS!
On Friday, July 26, 2024, we held a blood glucose screening and diabetes awareness event at the Lady Lake Library. Members of the Lake Sumter Lions Club joined us and provided 30 community members with a FREE screening. Over 20 were referred to their physician for additional testing. Stay tuned for info on our next FREE screening event in the community!
